Vehicle security systems have taken a leap with advancements in technology and made it possible to stay in touch with the vehicle. Consequently, it has led to the emergence of KENT CamEye, a dash cam with GPS tracker that not only secures the car but ensures passengers’ safety as well. The device has been enabled with both audio and video capabilities to provide meaningful insights related to the trips made by the car. Along with this, GPS tracking of the car is available in this device that keeps you updated about its real-time location.
How does KENT CamEye work?
KENT CamEye has a modern design that works in a very simple manner with all the user-friendly attributes. The features of the device remain accessible through KENT CamEye mobile application. You just need to scan the device through the app and sync it with the smartphone to access it anytime, from anywhere in the world.
The installation method makes it even easier to use. The other conventional hardwired dashcams or GPS tracking devices for cars need to be manually connected to the electrical system to function. Unlike these, KENT CamEye doesn’t need any hard or internal wiring to work as it’s a simple plug and play, non-OBD (on-board diagnostics) device. The device has a built-in powerful 3000 mAh battery for power that can be recharged through the 12-V socket in the car using a USB cable.
Now the question arises, how KENT CamEye manages to work so smoothly and how does it fetch the trip details without any internal connection with the car? As already mentioned, KENT CamEye has been designed efficiently with innovative technologies. Thus, rather than connecting it through the internal wiring, it has been integrated with various sensors that help in smart functioning. These sensors detect and convert the physical parameters (for example, temperature, acceleration, light, etc.) into signals. Further, the device sends these signals as notifications to the users.
Let’s learn about the different built-in sensors of KENT CamEye and how they help in ensuring the safety of passengers and security of the vehicle. There are three key sensors which solely or in combination with each other, contribute to the different functionalities of KENT CamEye. They are:
1. Accelerometer: The primary role of an accelerometer is to detect the movement of the object. Similarly, in KENT CamEye, the accelerometer sensor, detects the vibration when the car’s engine is switched on or off. It even helps in determining the acceleration of the vehicle as it measures the change in speed with respect to time. Using the signals of this sensor, KENT CamEye notifies the users about the trip start and end, speed of the vehicle and situations of engine idling.
This way, the GPS tracking for the car gets easier and you would know whenever the driver embarks on a trip in your absence. You would also be aware of the time when your family members will start for or leave their places while being driven by the chauffeur. Youngsters, who usually like to over-speed the car can be monitored once the signal transmitted by accelerometer raises an alarm that the car has crossed the set speed limit. Further, this accelerometer sensor would help in determining if the driver leaves the engine idle for long hours.
2. Temperature Sensor: It is yet another important sensor that allows KENT CamEye to possess related features. The temperature sensor compares the in-cabin temperature with the exterior temperature and helps in maintaining the uniformity.
The sensor offers a high-temperature self-protection mechanism in KENT CamEye. It uses the auto-shutdown feature under high temperatures, thereby shielding the device from temperature damage. It monitors the internal temperature and triggers the device to shut down automatically. It even lets the device to start itself, once it cools down and if it remains plugged into the charger. So, the device stays healthy and safe.
3. Light Sensor: As the device is meant to capture and record in the night as well, the cameras in KENT CamEye have been embedded with light sensors. In order to keep the vision clear, these sensors can detect darkness and trigger the infrared flashlight of the lens. The infrared light, thus, helps in recording the footage with proper vision. The shots of night trips would look bright with light.
Hence, these three sensors become essential for KENT CamEye to serve the purpose of dash cam and GPS tracker without any internal wiring.
